Eastern Airlines, LLC (“Eastern”) is a US Part 121 Flag Air Carrier with Scheduled Domestic and International, Passenger and Cargo authority from the US Department of Transportation (“DOT”) operating wide-body, long-range aircraft. As of January 1st, 2024, our operating fleet consisted of four (4), owned, Boeing B767 series passenger aircraft and two (2), owned B777 series passenger aircraft.

General

This is a part-time position reporting directly to the Manager of People Services & Manager of Talent Acquisition with interactions across all company employees, candidates, and visitors. The ideal candidate must be able to represent the company professionally, embodying its values and culture while collaborating with all levels of staff in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stay informed about state and federal leave laws to ensure company policies remain compliant.
  • Assist the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates, and selecting qualified individuals for various roles.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they understand the company policies, benefits, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with document collection and file management for new hires and existing employees.
  • Assist with HR software systems for tracking employee data and performance. 
  • Use technology to improve HR functions.
  • General HR duties as assigned 

Qualification Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • A minimum of two years of experience and/or education in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in typing with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute (WPM) with a high level of accuracy, ensuring efficient data entry, document preparation, and communication.
  • Proven ability to assist with the recruitment process.
  • Experience in assisting with the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Proficiency in assisting with the collection, organization, and management of employee files and documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience working with HR software systems.
  • Familiarity with using technology to streamline and improve HR functions.
  • Must be available to work in the office (flexible hours)
