About the Role

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Finance Administrator will offer a hands-on experience in financial analysis, inventory costing, and reporting. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accuracy in accounting entries and support key financial processes. This role is ideal for a young professional looking to gain practical experience in Finance through the Yes4Youth  Program.

The key responsibilities of the position are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Perform inventory costing and calculate hourly production rates.
  • Attend stock counts and ensure accurate capture of results.
  • Analyse inventory reports to detect discrepancies and slow-moving items.
  • Prepare analyses comparing sales deals to actual performance.
  • Assist with fixed asset verification and monthly account reconciliations.
  • Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance documentation.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, always upholding Quality, Trust, and Security.

To be considered for this role under the “Yes4Youth” Learnership program, the following requirements are non-negotiable

  • Ideal candidates should be unemployed at the time of contracting.
  • Must qualify as Youth candidates and therefore must be between the age of 18 – 34 (Must not be turning 35 during the program)
  • Must meet the definition of “Black People,” as defined in the Broad-Based Black Empowerment Act 53 of 2003, as amended by Act 46 of 213.
  • Must not have previously participated in a “Yes4Youth” program.

 MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, or a related field.

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1 years or less relevant experience and knowledge of accounting and costing principles.
  • Good knowledge of accounting and costing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES:  

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
