This Intern, Business Analytics will be part of the Business Analytics and Digital Operations group providing analytics and digital solutions for safe and efficient operation of RWECE’s growing fleet of wind, solar and battery assets. The position will focus on the data analytics workstream which builds the foundation for data-driven decision-making and future AI integration by ensuring data integrity, governance, and advanced analytics capabilities. The team delivers reliable insights, automates processes, and manages enterprise platforms to support Asset Management, Operations, and Engineering. Through continuous improvement, we shape systems and reporting to meet evolving business needs.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the continual development of business intelligence and analytics tools to help the Operations’ organization make better data-driven decisions
  • Work closely with the team in implementation of applications used for capturing and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics
  • Translate large complex datasets and models for use within business intelligence systems
  • Design, document, deploy, and maintain analytical reports utilizing data manipulation techniques to track operational KPIs
  • Identify and implement process automations for automatic data processing, to ease various manual and redundant steps
  • Adhere to the Company’s values and behaviors as aspired to by RWECE
  • Additionally: Perform all other duties assigned as may be required from time to time.

 

Job Requirements and Experiences:

  • Enrolled in an accredited US university program, pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science or related fields
  • Master level preferred
  • Experience with data & analytics tools in industry or University projects
  • Skilled in data mining, data management, and analysis
  • Experience working with databases (SQL, Azure, SAP, AirTable etc.)
  • Knowledge of Python and similar scripting languages
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI or other business intelligence applications
  • Ability to maintain high level of data accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis
  • Skilled in problem solving and deriving actionable insights from data
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
  • This position is an office-based role
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
