About the Role

Position Purpose

Under close supervision, the Visual Assistant upholds the Visual image of the Francis Ford Coppola Winery and Brand, by maintaining the creative excellence of its in-store visual merchandising. Dynamic, thought provoking displays will be created with a Coppola point-of-view that are meant to entice and increase wine and merchandise sales. 

Functional Responsibility

Essential Duties

  • Takes visual direction from Director of Merchandising
  • Assists Merchandiser in fulfilling small and large design concept changes
  • Executes daily merchandising and display objectives
  • Ensures all new product is placed as directed on the retail sales floor in a careful and timely manner
  • Ensures that the retail sales floor represents the visual standards of the Francis Ford Coppola Winery
  • Assists Events with interior floor moves and display needs before and after the event
  • Maintains Francis Ford Coppola Winery standards during event set-up and break-down

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year retail experience 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Energetic and enthusiastic about visual design and merchandise
  • Creative, ambitious, innovative and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated on a daily basis with strong accountability
  • Adaptable to a variety of working conditions and flexible with changing priorities
  • Experience with basic construction tools and techniques

Working Conditions

  • General Winery environment
  • Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations
  • Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
