Job Description

Our Construction Advisory Practice consists of engineering and construction professionals with practical industry experience, who have advised on an extensive range of projects across multiple industry sectors in domestic and international contexts.  Most of our professionals are either civil, mechanical, electrical or chemical engineers, quantity surveyors, or architects by training and background, many of whom have supplemented their technical disciplines with further commercial qualifications, including construction and contracts management, international arbitration and dispute resolution, finance and construction law.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting in advising clients in the construction and government contracts space
  • Review and assess project change orders, including scope and costs
  • Review and analysis of project schedules
  • Loss of productivity and inefficiency analysis
  • Calculation of increased material and/or labor costs for damages
  • Analysis of extended general conditions and other time-related costs
  • Review of drawings and specifications
  • Assist in preparation of expert reports and presentations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, etc. or Construction Management.
  • Microsoft Office - Advanced skills preferred, especially in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Bluebeam, Adobe, or other PDF management software
  • Scheduling software - Microsoft Project or Primavera Products
  • Position requires that you come into the Arlington, Virginia office on a hybrid schedule. 

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position during work shift

  • Quality of Work: Has strong work ethic, taking care to produce accurate work. Has mechanisms in place to check work and ensure the quality of work being produced is accurate and timely.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $20-$25 per hour. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
