About the Role

SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.

Job Description Summary:

The Performance Engineering Intern will be supporting the day-to-day tasks of the Performance Team and consolidate critical site information in Performance Team’s database

Summer 2026 Internship. This role is based full-time in one of our offices (San Diego, CA or Bend, OR). Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinating and performing a range of activities to ensure successful operation of Performance Engineering team.

  • Review and update critical site information within Performance Team’s database regarding O&M projects.

  • Review electrical drawings and other key documentation packages.

  • Review PPA’s for ascertaining critical requirements of sites.

  • Analyze and compare predicted forecast power vs. actual generation.

  • Help facilitate the onboarding of O&M projects from EPC turnover.

  • Help setup and standardize templates for EPC commissioning.

  • Attend and document project meetings.

  • Completing other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Work within project team, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Proficiency and knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate

  • Strong ability to multi-task
