2026 Summer Intern, Technology Solutions

Job Description:

Summary:
We are seeking talented students who are interested in paid summer internship opportunities within the New York Mets’ front office. Ideal candidates have a long-term goal of working in professional sports. The Summer Internship Program is designed for qualified students who are entering their rising Junior or Senior year of college. The Interns selected will make a significant contribution to the organization during the 2026 season. In addition to your department, you will be able to explore other aspects of the business through joint projects, participation in lunch & learns, and various networking events. 

Program Length/Schedule:

• The internship will run from June 1st through August 7th, 2026.

• Candidates must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

• Work location will be on-site at Citi Field, Flushing, NY 11368.

• Please note game day and special event responsibilities include late nights and weekends.

• If you are selected to participate in the interview process, the first round will include a digital interview.

• The New York Mets will not be providing housing for the internship.​

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with special events, research projects and office duties which may include data entry and analysis.

• Support game day technology including, but not limited to facial recognition ticketing program, point of sale systems, security threat assessment solutions, digital displays, reverse ATMs, among other solutions.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to be relied upon for game day support. Therefore, must be punctual and able to perform tasks unsupervised with a high level of attention to detail.

• Must be able to be on your feet for long hours at a time and assist with moving equipment.

• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to work and interact well with others (fellow interns, executives, front office staff, athletes, fans, corporate clients, etc.).

• Excellent oral, written, technical, and customer service communication skills.

• Solid computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).

• Must be available to work non-traditional hours to support all games and events held during the course of the internship. This includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

Hourly Rate: $20.00
