About the Role

Masimo is looking for summer interns to join our UX Design team. We value all of our interns and go the extra mile to make sure you receive a learning experience that fits your career goals. You will also learn how to work in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with department leaders and other employees in the organization. 

Job Summary: 

These positions will support phases of the UX Design lifecycle for our current portfolio and upcoming product releases.  

Potential Teams: 

Applicants will be considered for the UX Design team may work on multiple types of UX/UI projects. 

  • Embedded Design 
  • Mobile Design 
  • Web/Enterprise Design 

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Create user interface designs for large-scale hospital and at-home web and mobile experiences for clinical monitoring, communications, alarm notifications and reporting.   
  • Work with Human Factors to evaluate and improve designs for all products. 
  • Interact with developers to finalize and hand off interface assets and documents. 
  • Support projects and initiatives. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Excellent conceptual, and problem-solving ability. 
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interface within a cross-functional team environment. 
  • Computer skills: Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch. Familiarity with Office products a plus. 

Education:  

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design or related field.  
  • Must be a current university student to qualify as an intern. Alum candidates and students graduating May/June 2026 are not eligible for intern opportunities. 

Location: 

  • This position will report on-site in Irvine, CA. 

Compensation:

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22/hr - $25/hr
