Description:

  • The associate will support in the geometrical, functional, and buildability validation of current and future BMW vehicles.
  • This position will allow the associate to grow their knowledge and hands on skills with vehicles through function and quality validation and testing.
  • Additionally the associate will learn the value and role of customer relevancy topics and gain an understanding of targets, the process partner network, and the role of the vehicle validation department in the production of BMW vehicles.
  • Support specialists with root cause analysis (RCA) and solution development
  • Independently complete analysis and quantitative/subjective evaluations
  • Assist in launching new Plant Spartanburg vehicles and optimizing integration processes
  • Gain in-depth knowledge and experience in new vehicle development and validation
  • Implement the problem solving process for vehicle defects to improve overall quality
  • Understanding of how vehicle validation and integration integrates into Plant Spartanburg and the BMW Group
  • Understanding of the BMW defect severity rating scale and customer expectations
  • Technical experience with total vehicles and part sub-assemblies
  • Understanding of the standard vehicle validation process
  • Communication skills and experience working with teams
  • Leadership abilities through defect analysis and topic handshakes
  • Specialized skills and experience with analysis equipment and tools
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and effectively manage tasks

 

Qualifications:

  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE May 18th – August 7th, 2026.
  • Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
