As an Asset Management Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to various key functions within the Single-Family Rental REIT industry, including Acquisition, Disposition, Asset and Portfolio Management, and Construction. You will support investment activities, collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate and execute new acquisitions, assist in managing existing assets, and contribute to corporate growth initiatives and strategies. This internship is designed to be educational, providing university students with valuable experience and skills essential for pursuing a career in real estate investment and management.
Internship Learning Objectives/Task Goals:
- Assist in asset-level and portfolio-level asset management activities, including monitoring day-to-day operations and helping prepare or review reporting packages and other materials.
- Support the creation and management of financial models, pro formas and other analyses required in connection with underwriting new investments and managing existing assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business plans and contribute to the development of informed opinions and recommendations that support the direct implementation of go-forward plans.
- Create presentations and financial analyses to assist with various corporate growth initiatives to help build consensus on recommendations.
Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:
- Enrolled in, or graduated from, a university degree program, preferably in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or other related fields.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Excel.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude; dependable, require minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Results-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation.
- Robust assessment, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
This is a paid internship, however AMH does not provide housing, relocation, or transportation assistance.
Availability to commit to 40 hours per week from June 8th to August 14th, Summer of 2026.

Compensation
The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $22.00 hourly.
