PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION 

As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you will support the Finance & Accounting team in daily operations, financial reporting, and special projects. This role offers exposure to the insurance brokerage industry and an opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting principles, financial analysis, and compliance. 

This will be an on-site position (5 days in-office per week).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking. 
  • Help prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in audit preparation and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and variances in financial performance.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects, such as process improvement initiatives. 
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with company policies. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree or Master’s program (ideally with a focus in Accounting, Finance or a related field).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
