About the Role

Description

The Research Assistant Intern will work with multi-disciplinary teams within Vivex Biologics, Inc. and assist a Research Scientist with early-stage development activities and product development.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist with early stage and product development projects.
  • Assist and conduct research on existing and developed products.
  • Develop design of experiments and execute accordingly under supervision as assigned.
  • Deliver protocols, reports, and presentation as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s or master’s (or currently enrolled) in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related life sciences or health-science discipline; minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of biochemistry and biology, with a solid understanding of human anatomy and chemistry relevant to laboratory research.
  • Demonstrated strong hands-on laboratory skills, with extensive practical experience in biochemistry-focused laboratory environments.
  • Proven proficiency in core wet-lab techniques, including precise pipetting, sample preparation, reagent handling, and execution of biochemical assays (e.g., protein quantification, enzymatic assays, ELISA or similar analytical assays).
  • Ability to accurately collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, with strong attention to detail and adherence to laboratory protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing, data reporting, and documentation of experimental results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills, with the ability to support experimental planning and execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project is preferred.


Working conditions

Job may require work inside the controlled cleanroom manufacturing area where the intern would be exposed to tissue processing.


Physical requirements

The job may entail occasional requirement to stand for extended periods of time and lifting heavy objects of up to 30 lbs.
