JOB DESCRIPTION             

This position is located in and will be reporting out of Columbus, OH. 

Position Title:    IT Intern – Cyber Security

Reports To:    Manager of Cyber Security

FLSA Status:        Non-Exempt

Essential Functions:

1.    Monitors the IT Support Application, resolves as many tickets as possible, and assigns remaining tickets to second level support.

2.    Provides network preventative maintenance services to ensure network integrity.

3.    Review and resolve detected vulnerabilities.

4.    Monitor and review cyber system generated alerts.

5.    Perform and maintain inventories.

6.    Generate and review compliance and audit reports.

7.    Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications:

1.    Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.

2.    Must have experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools.

3.    Familiarity with Windows server operating systems.

4.    Must work well in both team and individualized tasks.

5.    Must have experience with or the aptitude and willingness to learn:

a.    Basic PC Maintenance

b.    Software Installation and Configuration

c.    Basic Computer Networking

d.    Basic Firewall Configuration  

e.    Basic Internet Application Development and Deployment

6.    Must possess initiative and the ability to learn quickly.

7.    Must possess the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.

8.    Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

9.    Must possess critical thinking to analyze and correlate various alerts.
