- Flag important developments and suggest story ideas proactively
- Revise copy quickly based on editorial feedback (speed matters)

- A brief cover note explaining your interest in current events and this role
- 1–3 writing samples (published articles, essays, or news summaries are ideal)
- Your availability and expected graduation date

- Strong writing skills with an ability to be clear, concise, and fast
- Excellent understanding of current events and global affairs
- Comfortable working on tight deadlines and adapting to breaking news
- Strong research instincts and fact-checking discipline
- Familiarity with major news outlets (e.g., Reuters, AP, FT, WSJ, NYT, Economist, etc.)
- Self-starter who can work independently and communicate clearly in a remote environment
Preferred
- Previous experience in journalism, newsletters, or digital media
- Experience writing for audio or on-camera delivery
- Knowledge of geopolitics, finance, or international policy
- Ability to work across time zones or outside standard business hours when news breaks
- $18–$25 per hour, depending on experience and writing samples
- Full access to Impact Theory University.
- Two complimentary books: Radical Confidence by Lisa Bilyeu and Principles by Ray Dalio.
