As a Finance intern, you will be challenged to demonstrate financial stewardship while working alongside MITRE leaders to maximize our value to our government sponsors. The variety of tasking and wide scope of this internship will provide a rich set of real-life experiences resulting in a comprehensive understanding of Finance’s critical role in executing MITRE’s mission.</p><p></p><p><b>Roles and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Prepare and deliver necessary supporting analytics to assist Leadership in decision-making  </li><li>Analyze and diagnose business drivers using various financial systems </li><li>Communicate financial results effectively with powerful visual narratives and story-telling  </li><li>Develop operational and financial projections using various methods including historical trends, statistical analysis, and other predictive techniques  </li><li>Perform Ad hoc analysis for internal and external customers </li><li>Learn, interpret and communicate corporate policy as related to assigned subject areas </li><li>Coordinate activities and information sharing across the Finance Organization </li></ul><p></p><p><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Business Administration or Operations</li><li>Foundational knowledge of core concepts and tools in Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Business Administration or Operations</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint \</li><li>Has sustained excellence in academic performance</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Exhibits the characteristics of a continuous learner and problem-solver </li><li>Experience having applied Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Business Administration or Operations learning in an internship, related student clubs, and/or other experiences</li><li>Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):</b></p>Not Applicable<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):</b></p>Not Applicable<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Salary compensation range and midpoint:</b></p>$46,500 - $58,000 - $69,500 Annual<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Work Location Type:</b></p>Hybrid<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
