About the Role

Eaton’s CTO Corporate Technology Office division is currently seeking a Internship: Additive Technician - Southfield, MI.

 

 

The hourly rate for this position is $19.38 per hour.

What you’ll do:

In this function you will: 

-    Operate and maintain additive manufacturing machines to maximize machine up-time and production throughout.
-    Perform post-processing steps of completed AM jobs (will include a wide array of tasks such as cleaning, surface treatments, part separation, machining and various manual processes.
-    Track related consumable supplies and alert Responsible personnel if additional supplies required.
-    Collaborate with team on AM process improvements.
-    Follow standardized file systems, traceability documentation for all machine related repair/anomaly reported incidents.
-    Maintain all AM ancillary equipment and document accordingly.
-    Meet both quality and schedule expectations. 
-    Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to 5S Principle.
 

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications: 
 

-    High School diploma, actively enrolled or received a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 
-    Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
-    No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Southfield, MI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
-    This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


 
Preferred qualifications:

- Experience setting up and operating additive manufacturing equipment 
- Experience with inspection equipment and gaging methods such as calipers, micrometers, CMMs etc.
- Prior manufacturing experience with a focus on a close attention to detail
