Position : BIM Modeler Intern, GCSEA
Reporting to: BIM Development Senior Manager, GC & SEA

Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor

 

 

Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a BIM Modeler Intern to support the development of BIM content for ASSA ABLOY products. The selected candidate will work closely with the BIM Development team to create and maintain Autodesk Revit (.rfa) families that accurately represent our product range and conform to established modeling standards.

This internship provides valuable exposure to BIM processes, digital content creation, and international collaboration within a global organization.

 

Job Description:

  • Develop and update Door Hardware families in Autodesk Revit (.rfa) for ASSA ABLOY products, including doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Ensure all BIM content is parametric, data-driven, and aligned with company BIM standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to validate geometry, parameters, and metadata within BIM models.
  • Assist in the testing, documentation, and organization of BIM libraries for use in Openings Studio®.
  • Support the BIM Development team in coordination tasks, model validation, and project-related activities as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records of tasks, model revisions, and documentation.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Certificate or Diploma in Architecture, Building Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required especially in creating Revit Families.
  • Interest in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital design technologies.
  • High attention to detail and ability to adhere to technical standards and procedures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a professional setting.
