Maryland Auto Insurance seeks candidates to fill a part-time, contractual role in our Internship Program within the Executive Department. This is a part time position with a maximum of 29 hours per week for 8 weeks this summer starting June 8, 2026. This position is hybrid with both virtual and in office work.  The candidate will be required to come into the office a minimum of once per week. Wednesday(s) will be a required in office day for educational lunch and learn sessions.

The Executive Department Intern will report directly to the Senior Executive Associate & Executive Director providing direct support to Executive department functions. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge Microsoft 365 suite programs as well as a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with co-workers at all organizational levels, establish and meet deadlines, and participate in discussions.

Essential Functions:

  1. Support Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Staff, Government Relations, and any other Director/department as needed. 
  2. Work on various administrative projects and assist in coordinating in-person employee meetings, with guidance and support from the Chief of Staff 
  3. Propose, create, and maintain measurement & monitoring methods for workflow processes and business results, such as using Microsoft Planner to track to-do items, manage agendas, assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor departmental progress..  
  4. Communicate effectively & professionally with employees, constituents, and external contacts via email and phone.. 
  5. Schedule meetings and track responses from colleagues. 
  6. Attend bi-weekly meetings with employees in person. 
  7. Attend meetings as needed.

Requirements:

Education: Currently enrolled in a college degree program (associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s)

Qualified applicants will be effective communicators and have an ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, other industry-related professionals and the public.  Applicants should also be highly adaptable to changes in procedures and guidelines.

Additional Information


This position does not supervise other employees. This is a part‑time, non‑benefited position with core hours scheduled during regular business hours. Specific hours will be finalized at the time of hire.
