Summary:

As a Production Test Engineering Intern at North Atlantic Industries (NAI), you will support our engineering and production teams in testing and validating complex electronic systems. Your hands-on involvement helps ensure product quality and performance across our high-reliability electronics used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. This internship provides valuable exposure to power electronics, automated test systems, and real-world engineering processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 


This Internship is for Summer 2026.  

Requirements

  • Assist with testing and verification of power supply and embedded electronic systems.
  • Support engineering staff during ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) and vibration testing.
  • Perform test data collection and documentation for product performance reports.
  • Shadow and learn from engineers performing component-level debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Help develop or update test procedures and work instructions.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to understand testing workflows and production support.
  • Gain hands-on experience with electronic measuring tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status. Please note that some positions involve sensitive customer contracts and require U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Academic exposure to analog/digital electronics and circuit theory.
  • Familiarity with basic lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics is a plus.

 Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Interest in electronics manufacturing and testing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Eagerness to learn in a collaborative engineering environment.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with automated test systems is a plus.

Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week) Approx. Start Date End of May/Beg of June.

This is a paid Internship. Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.
