Civil Engineering Intern

Description

The Village of Mount Prospect has an opening for a Civil Engineering Intern in the Engineering Division of the Public Department.  Work involves construction layout and inspection associated with the street improvement program.

Job Duties:  Job assignments will include the construction layout and inspection associated with the street improvement and sidewalk improvement programs; inspection of private development construction; AutoCAD drafting for Village improvement projects. 

This job opportunity will provide the successful applicant with invaluable “hands-on” experience in preparation for a civil engineering career.

Requirements

Job Requirements: High school diploma and currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program of study in civil engineering or related construction field.  Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license.

Hours:  40 hours per week.  Monday through Friday, From 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., some hours may vary. May 1 – Labor Day.

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour DOQ.
