Reporting directly to the Team Dietitian, the Nutrition Intern will serve as an integral member of the sports nutrition team, supporting the performance, recovery, and overall well-being of NWSL athletes. This role provides hands-on experience within a professional sports environment and acts as an on-site presence for all nutrition-related initiatives throughout the season.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is passionate about fueling elite athletes, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced, high-performance environment.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the delivery of team-wide nutrition strategies as established by the Team Dietitian.</li> <li>Manage all nutrition inventory, including tracking stock, restocking items, and communicating product needs.</li> <li>Pack and organize the nutrition trunk for all away trips to ensure players have access to proper fueling resources on the road.</li> <li>Oversee the preparation and distribution of educational guides aligned with each day’s training demands.</li> <li>Assist with pre- and post-training fueling protocols, including setup, food service logistics, and cleanup.</li> <li>Support supplement protocols, ensuring safe, compliant, and consistent distribution as directed by the Team Dietitian.</li> <li>Help monitor catering quality control to ensure all team meals meet nutritional and performance standards.</li> <li>Serve as a positive and proactive on-site nutrition presence for players and staff throughout the season.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Internship Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be completing a curriculum or graduation requirement in Nutrition or Dietetics.</li> <li>Strong interest in working with an active or athletic population.</li> <li>Prior experience in sports nutrition (collegiate, tactical, or professional) is preferred.</li> <li>Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Gain</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience in an elite professional sports environment.</li> <li>Practical skills in performance nutrition application and athlete support.</li> <li>Mentorship and guidance from a professional sports dietitian.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <p>This role pays $30.00 an hour for up to 25 hours a week and runs from March through November.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Angel City believes in building a safe place for creative expression and celebrating that which makes us who we are; welcoming unique and personal backgrounds and experiences.
