Duration: 16 months (for co-ops) | 8 months+ (for interns, with potential for extension)

About this opportunity:
We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join Ericsson as a Filter Hardware Development Co-op. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of cavity filters for several of Ericsson’s radio products. Your development journey will span a wide range of activities, including requirements analysis, verification specification development, test setup automation, design verification testing, and the creation of related technical documentation. You will also have the opportunity to learn filter design and simulation, along with other valuable technical and professional skills. This role strongly aligns with Ericsson’s Product Development Principles.

 

What you will do:
•    Perform verification test cases completed in a lab environment via both automated and manual means.
•    Participate in defining verification specification and developing test cases
•    Participate in development of cavity Filter Unit for Radio products
•    Troubleshoot and contribute to resolution of issues uncovered during verification and integration.
•    Review or update design and verification documentation specification documentation
•    Develop, update, fix lab verification test automation software

 

The skills you bring:

•    Proactive, motivated, organized, and efficient
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a team environment
•    Flexible and able to multi-task with great attention to detail
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
•    2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent 
•    Actively enrolled in an accredited Master’s, or PhD program, on a full-time basis, at the time of the internship with a focus on Electrical Engineering or related fields 
•    Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or Co-Op term

You may also bring:
•    Exposure or experience to RF/cavity wideband antenna design concepts, specifications or technology
•    Experience with ADS, HFSS, Matlab or similar tools
•    Experience in the use of test equipment such as Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, RF Generator, Power Meter etc.

The salary range for this position is

• Ontatrio:

Master's: 37/ hr CAD

PhD: 41/ hr CAD
