To fulfill our vision, we recruit talented and highly motivated scientists to develop and execute innovative biomarker and diagnostic strategies to drive clinical development through all phases of the portfolio, and conduct foundational disease-oriented translational research to maximize our scientific and clinical impact.</span></p><p><span>We are seeking a motivated and passionate intern to contribute to our translational research.</span></p><p><br /><span>This internship position is located in</span><b><span> </span><b>S</b><b>outh San Francisco, on-site.</b></b></p><p><span><b><span> </span></b></span></p><p><b>The Opportunity</b>· </p><ul><li><p><span>Generate genetically defined murine lung cancer organoid models using CRISPR-based genome editing.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Culture and maintain mouse tracheal epithelial organoids for cancer modeling.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Engineer and validate key cancer-associated genetic alterations relevant to lung squamous cell carcinoma.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Use human cancer genomics insights to guide model design and hypothesis generation.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Perform molecular and phenotypic characterization of engineered organoids.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Analyze data and communicate results to support translational oncology research.</span></p></li></ul><p><span></span></p><p><span><span><b><span>Program Highlights</span></b></span></span></p><ul><li><p><b><b>Intensive 12-weeks, full time (40 hours per week) paid internship.</b></b></p></li><li><p><b><b>Program start dates are in May/June 2026.</b></b></p></li><li><p><b><b>A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. </b></b></p></li><li><p><span>Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Final presentations of project work to senior leaders.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Lead or participate in intern committees to design and coordinate program events and initiatives.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Professional & personal development curriculum throughout the program, including networking opportunities, workshops, and panel discussions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Participate in volunteer projects, social events, and team-building activities.</span></p></li></ul><p><span><b><span> </span></b></span></p><p><span><span><b><span>Who You Are</span></b></span></span></p><p><br /><b><b>Required Education</b></b><br />You meet one of the following criteria:</p><ul><li><p>Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student).<br /> </p></li></ul><p><span><span><b><span>Required majors: </span></b><span>Cancer biology, Molecular biology, Immunology or related disciplines.</span></span></span><br /> </p><p><b><b>Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Familiarity with CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing and murine organoid culture systems is a plus.</span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.</span></span></span></p></li><li><p><span><span><span>Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.</span></span></span></p></li></ul><p><span><span><span> </span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span>Along with the submission of your CV, a cover letter is optional.</span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span> </span></span></span></p><p><span><span><b><span>Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.</span></b></span></span></p><p><span><span><b><span> </span></b></span></span></p><p><span><span>The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of California</span><b><span> </span></b><span>is </span><b><span>$46.00 per hour.</span></b><span> Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
