About the Role

JOB OBJECTIVE: Responsible for assisting Marketing Services with Corporate Store and Global Tradeshow & Events inventory, tactical execution, and logistics. Responsible for inventory and ordering for Corporate Store. Assists with timely and accurate shipping/receiving of tradeshow materials, packing, scheduling, processing shipments and managing inventory. Work with Marketing Services teams and internal clients to coordinate logistics and deliverables to support global trade show program and corporate store.

CORE DUTIES:

1. Assist with tactical execution of Promega events to include shipping coordination, vendor, and inventory management.


2. Assist with picking and packaging identified booth properties, graphics and accessories and preparing for transport. 


3. Work closely with Distribution Services to coordinate the transportation of materials inventoried at Promega.


4. Responsible for managing the inventory Corporate Store. Includes quality/quantity assessment and associated restocking. Utilize inventory management software to track all items. Manages incoming orders and reorders.


5. Design and maintain organization of staging area to ensure assets will be available for all upcoming tradeshows. Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization 


6. Able to stage and organize concurrent shipments using multiple vendors & sources to a variety of destinations. 


7. Assist in other areas of the Marketing Services Department as needed to support the business.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Currently a student seeking a degree with a focus on marketing or related field of study.


2. Experience with shipping logistics and/or inventory management. 


3. Customer service and conflict resolution skills. 


4. Able to work independently and as part of a team. 


5. Ability to manage competing priorities and deadline pressures. Flexible, service-minded, detail-oriented, and willing to tackle concurrent tasks and projects as requested. 


6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal communication skills with a variety of people including team members, internal customers, and outside vendors. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience with inventory management systems. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to regularly move objects weighing up to 40lbs; 100lbs on dolly; 500lbs on pallet jack or wheeled instrument case.

2. Ability to move around easily and constantly, sometimes for several hours at a time. 

3. Ability to use computer and telephone equipment. 

4. Ability to use small hand tools. 

5. Ability to operate a pallet jack.
