Our expertise spans a broad range of techniques, including laser effects, video projection mapping, pyrotechnics, architectural lighting installations, and custom-built sets and props. With over 500 projects completed across the United States, we’ve delivered captivating creative shows for clients like Rihanna, Jay-Z, Tiësto, America’s Got Talent, and professional sports teams in the NFL, NBA, and NHL. We have also created interactive installations for venues like Baltimore’s Inner Harbor Power Plant, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Walt Disney World.
Full Time, Hourly
Ten (10) Week Internship, beginning Monday, June 1, 2026
M–F, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

$18/hour
Primary Responsibilities:
- Shadow and support experienced Special Effects Technicians and Pyrotechnicians to learn industry-standard practices, safety protocols, and operational workflows
- Prep, inspect, load, and maintain special effects and pyrotechnic equipment to confirm show readiness
- Assist with in-house testing and rehearsals under the direct supervision of licensed and lead technicians
- Assist with firing system setup, cabling, and device placement as directed
- Learn to complete inventory checks, safety checklists, and compliance documentation related to special effects and pyrotechnic activities
- Work toward foundational proficiency with show-related software and systems used in special effects and pyrotechnic operations
- Assist with flame, CO2, cryo, spark, laser, and atmospheric effects
- Learn about drone show and design implementation
Requirements
- Strong interest in special effects, pyrotechnics, live events, or technical production
- Willingness to learn new technologies, equipment, and safety procedures
- Able to frequently walk, bend, squat, balance, and lift/carry up to 65 lbs.
- Comfortable working in warehouse, outdoor, and live event environments
- Able to pass background check and drug test
