About the Role

We are accepting applications for internships for six months starting in April 2026 (starting date flexible).

We welcome applications from outstanding lawyers, postgraduate students in law, as well as recent graduates. Mastery of English is a pre-requisite. Fluency in other languages, especially German and Spanish, would be an advantage. We are very interested in applications from top talent from any jurisdiction, at the same time we are also looking for applications from English- and common law-trained post-graduates and lawyers.

The foreign lawyer / internship programme in Freshfields’ International Arbitration Group would expose you to a wide range of cross-border work, including some of the most complex and interesting international disputes currently subject to arbitration. The programme is our preferred method of recruiting junior associates.
