Why This Role Matters:

Working with the Internal Audit team, this position offers opportunities to be exposed to audit processes, policies, and procedures for technological and business applications in the insurance industry. Typical project tasks include assisting in the development of audit programs and designing and executing a variety of test procedures. The intern may perform audit testing, develop audit programs, test internal controls, and explore financial reporting processes. Organizational and communication skills are crucial to successful performance in this position. Interns will gain real-world project experience in a technology-forward insurance company with a strong corporate culture. The internship will run from May 18 to August 7, 2026.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Support regulatory audits and consultation projects.

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with multiple areas within the company including Information Technology, Investments, Accounting, Actuarial, and Annuity Administration.

  • Document and execute control testing as part of the overall audit plan.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Undergraduate students who are completing their sophomore or junior year preferred.

  • Majors in Accounting, Applied Business Technology, Finance, or Risk Management & Insurance preferred.

  • Strong written and communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex information to others.

  • Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality of deliverables.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems and issues of all types.

  • Ability to work independently and with a team.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).

  • Familiar with Insurance industry (Investments, Accounting, Actuarial or Annuity Administration) preferred.
