Brief Role Description

Role Summary

The Body Shop Planning Intern will support the evaluation of equipment impacts related to new products and engineering changes. This role involves managing cross-functional teams and suppliers from concept to production, defining investment needs, ensuring stakeholder alignment, and developing process plans. The intern will also contribute to improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost through system modifications and resource planning.

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Support Body Shop Planning engineers in overseeing and managing projects.
  • Develop and/or update specifications for new and existing manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Lead and/or monitor external contractors during equipment installations and modification activities.

Qualification requirements

  • A rising college Junior, Senior or recent graduate
  • Strong GPA
  • Strong understanding of Engineering Methodology
  • Knowledge of Lean Concepts
  • Strong preference for Mechanical Engineering majors

Skills

  • Strong logical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
