Volkswagen Group of America’s 6-Month Co-op Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to gain immersive, hands-on experience in the automotive industry over an extended period. Designed for driven, curious, and highly motivated students, the program provides meaningful exposure to real projects that contribute directly to Volkswagen’s success.

Throughout the co-op term, participants develop both professional and technical skills through on-the-job training, mentorship, and collaboration with industry experts. This experience allows students to deepen their understanding of their field, strengthen their career readiness, and make a tangible impact within one of the world’s most innovative automotive companies.

Program Information:

  • 6-month Co-op Program Start Date (non-negotiable): June 1, 2026
  • Program Duration: June 1, 2026 – December 18, 2026

Role Summary

The Complete Vehicle Data Co-op will support the Quality Assurance team in analyzing large, complex datasets to drive informed decisions and strategic priorities. This role contributes to improving data accuracy, identifying performance trends, and supporting cross-functional teams with insights that enhance vehicle quality and customer satisfaction. The Co-op will work with analytical tools and visualization platforms to transform raw data into actionable intelligence.

Possible Tasks within this Role

  • Analyze complex datasets across multiple functions to identify patterns, correlations, and root causes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate findings and progress updates.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by providing insights that inform quality improvement priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data into process and product improvements.
  • Contribute to developing predictive models or analytical frameworks to support proactive problem-solving.

Qualification requirements

  • A rising college Junior, Senior or recent graduate
  • Strong GPA
  • Strong preference for Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related degrees.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
