At Assala Energy, communication connects our people and stakeholders to our core priorities and mission, reinforcing that production is our mission and safety is our licence to operate, through clear, practical, and engaging messages across our operations and external channels.
We are looking for a Communications Intern who is curious about how Communication supports a business, has a genuine interest in social media and content creation, and enjoys working with words, visuals, and digital platforms. This internship, for a period of 6 months, offers a hands-on learning experience in a corporate environment, with exposure to both internal and external communications, and the opportunity to develop practical skills while contributing to real projects.
What you will be involved in
With guidance and support from the Communications team, you will contribute to a wide range of activities, including:
- Supporting the preparation and dissemination of internal communications, such as notifications, magazines, posters, screens, and noticeboards
- Assisting with keeping internal platforms and noticeboards up to date, with accurate and engaging content
- Contributing to employee engagement campaigns linked to safety, ESG, culture, and company initiatives
- Drafting and translating communication materials, including internal articles, press releases, and LinkedIn posts, in English and French
- Supporting the preparation of presentations and visual materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Helping monitor online, digital, and media visibility of Assala Energy and its partners
- Assisting with the creation of visuals and layouts, in line with brand guidelines, using tools such as Canva and PowerPoint.
- Contributing to short videos, photo reports, and field communication assets, including from operational sites
- Supporting the organisation of corporate events, such as Safety Day, ESG activities, anniversaries, and site campaigns
- Assisting with logistics, branding materials, and documentation for events
- Helping maintain communication tracking tools and content logs
- Supporting the day to day management of Assala Energy’s LinkedIn presence, under the supervision of the Communication Officer
Over the course of the internship, you will gain:
- Practical exposure to both internal and external corporate communications
- Opportunities to learn content creation, visual communication, and digital media
- Experience working in an operational, multicultural environment
- Mentorship and day to day support from communications professionals
- The chance to build a portfolio of real communication outputs
- A strong foundation for a future career in communications, corporate affairs, or ESG
Who we are looking for:
This internship is about curiosity, motivation, and potential, rather than prior professional experience.
- Recent graduate in communication, journalism, marketing, media studies, or a related field
- Strong interest in communications, media, storytelling, or digital content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
- Willingness to learn how to write for different audiences and platforms
- Comfortable using basic digital tools, such as PowerPoint and social media platforms
- Organised, curious, and able to work on several tasks at the same time
- Positive attitude, reliability, and an eagerness to learn
