Job Description
The Cyber Internship Program is designed to provide aspiring cybersecurity professionals with practical experience, mentorship, and industry knowledge. Our program aims to bridge the gap between academic studies and real-world applications, equipping interns with the skills required to accel in the cybersecurity field.
This program will be a 12-week rotational program that will give the candidate the opportunity to work across each of the Cyber & Information Security teams including, Threat Detection & Response, Cloud & Application Security, and Governance Risk and Compliance. This program will run for 12-weeks where the candidate will participate in three 3-week rotational’ s and conclude with a presentation delivered to Senior Cyber leadership.
This candidate will ideally reside near Northern New Jersey and will be present in the Morristown, NJ office 3-days a week.
What you will do:
- Assist with research and testing of Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) technologies.
- Develop and implement a malware Sandbox environment.
- Develop Data Loss Prevention Playbooks.
- Shadow analysts during security event investigations.
- Conduct Identity and Access Management system testing.
- Shadow and contribute to Threat Modeling initiatives.
- Develop and populate a Cyber Risk Register.
- Provide Research & Analysis on a Software Inventory
What you will bring to C&F:
- Current or rising College Junior or Senior working towards a Bachelor’s or Masters's Degree related to Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- A passion for solving complex Cybersecurity issues.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Process oriented and extremely attentive to detail and quality.
- Good communications, documentation and tracking skills.
- Logical thinking and analytical ability.
- Will abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F’s risk management controls.

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $20/hr to a maximum of $24/hr. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
