Seneca Foods Corporation of Mayville is currently seeking an Operations Intern to join its team for the 2026 production season.
This internship will gain hands-on industry experience working with our location management team during our busy production season.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with warehouse, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow between departments.
- Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques (waste observation/elimination, recovery, etc).
- Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety.
- Analyze and evaluate methods of production and communicate ways to improve current practices.
- Assist in the overall management of the production facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work, communicate, and function within all levels of an organization.
- Ability to follow established protocols.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities.
- Ability to work extended hours/weekends as needed during the season.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc).
- Must be a currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field).
