About the Role
<p>Description</p><p><b>We’re currently hiring a Software Developer Intern to join our team remotely in Summer 2026. </b> </p><p><b>This is an entry-level, 10-week, full-time internship expected to begin in June and end in August. Work may be done remotely from any U.S. location. Pay is expected to be $23 per hour. At this time, we are unable to provide housing nor relocation assistance for this position. </b></p><p><b>As a Software Developer Intern, you will:</b> </p><ul><li><p>Develop and implement digital technology solutions with appropriate software design methodology in a dynamic and fast paced team environment </p></li><li><p>Partner with the team to perform all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing and client interaction </p></li><li><p>Write tests in existing test suites that confirm successful implementation of code </p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and create solutions as required </p></li><li><p>Assist in creation of technical documentation as part of client deliverables </p></li><li><p>Collaborate and work in an agile team environment </p></li></ul><p><b>Basic Qualifications: </b> </p><ul><li><p>By start date, a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours is required in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. </p></li><li><p> Candidate must be a US citizen, reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S. per contract requirements</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>A completed bachelor's degree plus at least 9 credit hours of completed graduate level coursework</p></li><li><p>An ability to define and present conceptual technology solutions to both technical and non-technical clients while articulating the value of technology to drive creative marketing platforms </p></li><li><p>The ability to translate client goals into achievable technical specifications </p></li><li><p>Experience with hands-on development, including an understanding of applications architecture such as: </p><ul><li><p>Object-oriented design and design patterns </p></li><li><p>ORM libraries </p></li><li><p>Database diagramming </p></li><li><p>Systems diagramming </p></li><li><p>Experience with technology skills including: </p><ul><li><p>Node.js and popular JavaScript frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Java, J2EE, C#, .NET or equivalent </p></li><li><p>One SQL database technology (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle or equivalent) </p></li><li><p>HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, JSP </p></li></ul></li></ul></li><li><p>Experience with source control: Git and/or SVN </p></li><li><p>Ability to integrate RESTful web services </p></li><li><p>Experience with multiple software development lifecycles such as Agile and Waterfall </p></li><li><p>GitHub page or code sample preferred </p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Working at ICF</b></u></p>ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, but we’re not your typical consultants.
