Business Operations Data Analytics Intern

Our EDA Business Operations team supports Keysight’s Design Engineering Software solutions (DES) organization empowering engineers and innovators to accelerate product development using advanced electronic design automation (EDA) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools.  

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analytics Intern to join our EDA Business Operations team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience at the intersection of data analytics, business strategy, and technology innovation. You will work closely with other EDA data scientists to transform complex data into actionable insights by providing software centric reporting and dashboard designs that drive strategic knowledge around growth and customer success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and visualize data related to orders, revenue, product adoption, and software market trends.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau, Snowflake, Salesforce, Excel, SQL, Python and more.
• Assist in developing KPIs and metrics to track business performance across EDA initiatives.
• Support ad hoc data analysis requests to inform strategic planning and executive presentations.
• Help automate data workflows and improve data quality and accessibility.
• Develop predictive models for division and forecasting

Required:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Previous experience working with Tableau applications (Prep, Desktop, Cloud/Server)
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
• Interest or experience in the EDA industry, semiconductor design, or electronic test and measurement.
• Exposure to CRM or ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data warehousing tools.

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university
• Strong command of English (written and spoken)
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

California pay range: MIN $33.60-$36.18/hour
