Job title: Internship: Oral HealthCare Research & Development 

Location: Drachten

At Philips Oral Healthcare, Research and Development Team, we develop innovative solutions to ensure
people can get a healthy mouth and smile outside of the dental clinic just by using our products daily.
Product range from power toothbrushes, water flossers, and whitening products.

In this assignment, you will support the creation of a database with multiple inputs from various sources
and data types in order to build intelligence on competitor products. You will be responsible for building
user interfaces to enter/upload new information and the connection points to the right fields, allowing
anyone from Research and Development team to interact and learn from the information.
Your role:
• Problem-solving skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Development, coordination, and execution of project plans
• Self-starter requiring little direct supervision
• Comfortable with ambiguity, including ambiguous data sets and with triangulating data from different sources
• Strategic minded and metric driven
• Experience collaborating with cross functional teams
• Experience in Healthcare preferred but not required
• Global experience working across multiple locations and time zones a plus

• Human Computer Interaction Design
• Engineering
• Statistics, Data Science, Analysis and/or Informatics, or similar fields
• Microsoft Dataverse (preferred) or Microsoft Access
• Microsoft PowerApps
• Microsoft PowerBI
 

Our intern remuneration package:

• Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

• Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

• Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net depending on the distance between your home address and the Philips location.

• Paid holidays per internship term.

• The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop

Please note that to be considered for an internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of which may be requested at any time. Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience

• How we work together

  We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
  Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
  Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This is an onsite role.

  IMPORTANT:

  Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue online interview recording. We are not able to share the outcome of this HireVue interview but will use this as extra selection criteria.

  In order to be considered, you have to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation will be requested. Students from outside the EU enrolled at a Dutch university need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement – which needs to be signed by the student and the university.
