Program Description

Volkswagen Group of America’s 6-Month Co-op Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to gain immersive, hands-on experience in the automotive industry over an extended period. Designed for driven, curious, and highly motivated students, the program provides meaningful exposure to real projects that contribute directly to Volkswagen’s success.

Throughout the co-op term, participants develop both professional and technical skills through on-the-job training, mentorship, and collaboration with industry experts. This experience allows students to deepen their understanding of their field, strengthen their career readiness, and make a tangible impact within one of the world’s most innovative automotive companies.

Program Information:

  • 6-month Co-op Program Start Date (non-negotiable): June 1, 2026
  • Program Duration: June 1, 2026 – December 18, 2026

Role Summary

The Workflow Optimization Co-op will support the Industrial Engineering Automation team in enhancing efficiency within Connected Vehicle business operations. This team manages customer issue workflows, data analytics, and digital commerce processes. The Co-op will focus on documenting, streamlining, and automating workflows within a CRM environment—leveraging Salesforce tools and AI to improve problem resolution speed and accuracy.

Role Responsibilities

  • Document and analyze existing business process workflows.
  • Learn to design and optimize workflows using Salesforce CRM tools.
  • Develop and test automated workflows within the Salesforce environment.
  • Create user documentation and assist in training team members on new processes.

Qualifications & requirements

  • A rising college Junior, Senior or recent graduate
  • Strong GPA
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-mapping skills.
  • Interest in automation, CRM systems, and digital business operations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong preference for Industrial Engineering or related degrees.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Interest in workflow design and automation.
