Finance Technology Implementation Trainee

We are looking for students who are finalising their studies or who have already graduated to join our Finance Transformation consulting team as a Finance Technology Implementation Trainee in Helsinki.

We would like you to start your 4-month Trainee period in August 2026. Many Trainees continue with us into permanent roles after their Trainee period.

Deloitte is a trusted  end-to-end advisor in finance technology supporting our clients from early advisory to implementation and operating the solutions we build.  We advise the CFOs in their decision making around finance IT architecture and develop best of breed finance IT solutions. We operate across various industries and work with selected Finance Technology Alliances, supporting Global Business Services such as Basware, HighRadius, ServiceNow and Workiva. We are now seeking a technology implementation focused Trainee to our Global Business Services offering, to further strengthen our implementation capabilities. In this team, we strive towards clients’ operational excellence and high-quality deliverables in our engagements through collaborative culture and stewardship. As the majority of current and future transformations are technology enabled, in this role you will learn about diverse aspects of finance process development enabled by technology and the leading practices to implement. Typical examples of your future projects could cover: defining the future IT architecture, building a technology implementation business case and roadmap, implementing  cutting edge finance technologies (e.g.  Basware AP Automation, High Radius, ServiceNow, Workiva etc.), building integrations, supporting in testing and cutover activities. 

Other Trainee tasks can include e.g. assisting us in Deloitte surveys and discussion papers: you get to help with data gathering, analysis (such as KPI-metrics) and in visualizing the data in presentations. Your tasks may also include helping with our client projects, for example preparing client materials and proposals. What do we hope for from you?

Then you’d probably fit well in our team! 

We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical and proactive person with a genuine interest in developing Finance processes with the support of technology / AI and eagerness to gain both functional and industry expertise.

We also hope that you have:

• A recent master’s degree or ongoing master studies (e.g., in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Management or Engineering, Data Science or other relevant field) at least minoring in Finance
• Experience / interest in finance technologies and their implementation (especially Basware AP Automation). Prior work experience with other (finance) technology solutions is considered an advantage
• Sharp logical thinking mind with good mathematical capabilities
• Experience of working with SQL, (or Tableau, Qlik, Python, Power BI), AI, coding in general or strong interest to develop professionally in this area
• Great MS Office suite skills, especially Excel and Power Point 
• Fluent written and oral skills in English, preferably also in Finnish

To be considered for this Trainee position, a prerequisite is that you are currently allowed to work in Finland, holding a valid residence permit if required.
