Brief Role Description

Electrify America’s 10–week Summer Internship Program targets undergraduate students entering their Junior or Senior years who are eager to acquire practical, real-world experience in the automotive industry. This program is designed for high-potential, highly mobile, and self-starter candidates with a strong interest in the automotive industry. Focused on the development of professional and technical competencies as well as on-the-job training, our Summer Internship Program is an excellent opportunity to explore career choices early on. At Electrify America, interns have the chance to make an impact because we challenge them and trust them to perform meaningful work.

Program Information:

  • 10-week Summer Internship Start Date (non-negotiable): June 1, 2026
  • Program Duration: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Possible Tasks within this Role

Role Summary:

The Distribution Engineer Intern will be supporting the development of the Distribution Equipment required for Large Format Sites.

Qualifications -

Skills:

  • Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power preferred

Specialized Skills:

  • Electrical Engineering, Utility experience would be helpful

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Updating our Confluence Space and using AI to create report-outs of the work the other team members are completing

Preferred Major:

  • Electrical Engineering

Days Required In-Office:

  • Tuesday – Wednesday
  • Will also be required to go to the Ashburn Lab
