As a full-time intern with Skylight, you’ll serve as a practitioner on one of our internal or client projects, where you’ll get a chance to build your skills in one of the following internship tracks:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Research &amp; design</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">, as either a user researcher, product designer, service designer, or content designer</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Engineering</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">, as either a software engineer, DevOps engineer, or security engineer</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Data</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">, as either a data engineer or data scientist</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Product &amp; delivery</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">, as either a product manager or engagement manager</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Procurement &amp; transformation</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">, as a digital transformer</span></li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">What you’ll do</span></h2> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">While your day-to-day responsibilities will vary by depending on your internship track and role, you can expect to:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work in a highly collaborative team environment&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Shadow and pair with experienced professionals within your assigned track</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Participate in agile ceremonies such as standups, planning meetings, and retrospectives</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Apply problem-solving and communication skills to project initiatives</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Bring subject matter expertise to your team and the overall company</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">What we're looking for</span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Foundational skills and knowledge within one of Skylight’s internship track roles</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hands-on experience supporting technology projects</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong empathy, organization, and communication skills&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Passionate about creating better public outcomes through great government services</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">A mindset and work approach that aligns with our core values</span></li> </ul> <p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Don’t meet 100% of the criteria but think you can do the job?
