About the Role

Company

Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis

Looking for an opportunity to gain exposure to the banking industry while completing your college degree? As an intern in our Cash operations, you’ll contribute to initiatives aimed at operational efficiency and standardization while collaborating with Depository Institutions, Armored Carriers, and Cash employees.

Working with Armored Carriers and Depository Institutions to clean up inactive end point numbers.  End point numbers identify the Bank and are unique to each Branch.  This ensures that Branches receive proper credit for deposits and orders of currency.  Cleaning up the endpoint numbers will also ensure that Depository Institutions adhere to the Uniform Cash Access Policy that dictates how often a Bank is allowed to deposit currency each week and whether fees should be assessed.

Assisting in establishing and coordinating an Armored Carrier/Depository Institution conference that would give stakeholders an opportunity to visit the Federal Reserve Bank while learning about their deposits and orders and discussing training opportunities that may be helpful for their staff.

As an intern, you’ll receive an hourly wage of $21.00 and you’ll work 40 hours/week for 10-12 weeks.

Qualifications:

Work in progress toward a post-secondary degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Note: Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis does not provide housing, transportation, or relocation assistance for interns.
