InterMetro Industries is seeking an IT Intern for our Corporate Department. This is an unpaid internship.
This role assists the department with a variety of Help Desk and end user related tasks. It also offers the chance to learn new technologies, in addition to opportunities in software application development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Handles basic help desk calls, such as password resets and PC troubleshooting, PC moves, basic wiring, administering upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the various computers, devices, and software.
- Assists the technical applications and help desk team with troubleshooting issues pertaining to local workstations, printers, mobile devices (smartphones), and file shares.
- Builds upgrades PCs for employees.
- Engages 3rd party vendors for equipment repairs.
- Installs and configures applications for end-users.
- Educates end-users about various applications and platforms.
- Lifts and transports PCs and accessories.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Currently enrolled in an IT program in college
Knowledge:
- High school diploma
- Currently enrolled in degree program for Information Technology or related field Less than 12 months of experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (Office Applications, Windows 10) Knowledge of computer hardware
- Working knowledge of IOS, Android mobile devices.
