InterMetro Industries is seeking an IT Intern for our Corporate Department. This is an unpaid internship.

This role assists the department with a variety of Help Desk and end user related tasks. It also offers the chance to learn new technologies, in addition to opportunities in software application development.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Handles basic help desk calls, such as password resets and PC troubleshooting, PC moves, basic wiring, administering upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the various computers, devices, and software.
  2. Assists the technical applications and help desk team with troubleshooting issues pertaining to local workstations, printers, mobile devices (smartphones), and file shares.
  3. Builds upgrades PCs for employees.
  4. Engages 3rd party vendors for equipment repairs.
  5. Installs and configures applications for end-users.
  6. Educates end-users about various applications and platforms.
  7. Lifts and transports PCs and accessories.
  8. Other duties, as assigned.

 

Currently enrolled in an IT program in college


Knowledge:

  • High school diploma
  • Currently enrolled in degree program for Information Technology or related field Less than 12 months of experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (Office Applications, Windows 10) Knowledge of computer hardware
  • Working knowledge of IOS, Android mobile devices.
