Founded in 2019,</strong><strong>&nbsp;we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.</strong></p> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div></div><p><strong>Essential Duties:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Redwood Materials is currently recruiting motivated and accomplished Electrical Engineering interns to join our Facilities team for <strong>Summer&nbsp;2026</strong>. These roles are at the center of our activities focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new lithium-ion battery production.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities Will Include:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform electrical assignments with general direction and supervision.</li> <li>Support the development of construction drawings for low voltage (up to 600V) power distribution, one-line diagrams lighting, lighting control, electrical circuits, raceway, grounding, data and communications.</li> <li>Assist in the development of design standards and templates for the electrical engineering department. </li> <li>Assist in maintaining electrical equipment tracker through purchasing, delivery, storage, and installation.</li> <li>Perform site visits to document construction progress and ensure compliance with design drawings.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.&nbsp;</li> <li>Passed or planning to take Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.</li> <li>Prior internship or work experience at another firm.</li> <li>Ability to read electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and electrical circuit schedules. </li> <li>Familiarity with using REVIT MEP for electrical design.</li> <li>Familiarity with using&nbsp;Navisworks to view and create clash-free design.</li> <li>Proficiency in using Bluebeam to review, add markups, and create sessions.</li> <li>Prior experience or interest in using SKM to perform short-circuit, arc flash, and circuit breaker coordination study.</li> <li>Self-motivated, hands-on mindset, with a willingness to contribute at all levels. </li> <li>A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place! &nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments.</li> <li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.</li> <li>Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards.</li> <li>Must be able to communicate clearly.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Split work environment between office and the production facility.</li> <li>Work may involve extended periods of working in the production facility.</li> <li>Ability to work in challenging working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, while protected by PPE, for extended periods of time.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em><span class="TextRun SCXW4548167 BCX8" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW4548167 BCX8">The location of the internship is in the Reno, Nevada area (exact location is based on team placement).</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW4548167 BCX8">&nbsp;Interns&nbsp;</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW4548167 BCX8">are responsible for</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW4548167 BCX8">&nbsp;making their own housing and transportation arrangements.
