Join Maxis as a Market Planning Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience supporting strategic market planning and commercial decision-making within the Enterprise Market Planning team. This role offers exposure to real-world performance reporting, business case analysis, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination, while contributing directly to market strategy development and business feasibility assessments in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Performance Reporting & Dashboards

  • Prepare and maintain monthly market planning performance dashboards, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of key business metrics.

  • Support data consolidation and validation to ensure reporting quality and consistency.

  • Assist in improving reporting efficiency through structured templates and analytical tools.

2. Business Case Analysis & Review

  • Support post-implementation reviews (PIRs) by developing analysis to evaluate business case outcomes.

  • Assist Market Planners in assessing financial performance against initial assumptions.

  • Contribute insights to support continuous improvement in commercial decision-making.

3. Stakeholder Coordination & Commercial Assessment

  • Support Market Planners in coordinating network and segment feedback on commercial justifications.

  • Assist in consolidating network assessments and segment inputs to evaluate business case feasibility.

  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support alignment on market and network considerations.

4. Market Insights & Ad-hoc Analysis

  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support market strategy formulation.

  • Analyse business performance trends and highlight key insights for decision-making.

  • Support preparation of materials for internal reviews and planning discussions.

5. Documentation & Reporting Support

  • Maintain documentation related to market planning analysis, reviews, and reporting.

  • Support the preparation of presentations and summaries for internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure data, assumptions, and findings are clearly documented and communicated.

Value-Added Exposure

  • Gain hands-on experience in market planning, commercial strategy, and business case evaluation.

  • Work closely with Market Planners to understand how strategic decisions are made at an enterprise level.

  • Develop strong analytical and business acumen through exposure to real-world commercial challenges.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business performance metrics.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use formulas and basic automation to improve reporting efficiency.

  • Interest in financial metrics, market planning, and business case development.

  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
