About the Role
<p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Description:</b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>Basic Function</b><br /> <br />Perform a variety of operational, development, and documentation activities to improve the quality, manufacturability, cost, and performance of mechanical flow measurement and control technologies (sensors, valves, meter bodies, flow elements, enclosures, etc.) used in Brooks legacy flow and pressure products. </p><p><br /><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Support the design and modifications to molded, welded, etched, stamped, machined, and extruded components. </li><li>Develop and/or interpret CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks</li><li>Use Mapics and Team Center to maintain and archive product documentation.</li><li>Initiate and assist in implementation of Engineering Change Notices.</li><li>Give direction to and/or perform the validation testing of mechanical design changes in coordination with the reliability group.</li><li>Provide input to the improvement to the product build and test processes.</li><li>Follow Brooks’ current and future best practices for mechanical designs.</li><li>Participate in mechanical design process improvement initiatives.</li><li>Support company-wide continuous improvement initiatives, particularly as related to product quality.</li><li>In line with Brooks’ zero accident safety policy, maintain and enhance department safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Communicate with Executives, Managers and co-workers in formal and informal settings.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p> <br /><b>Required Education and Experience</b></p><ul><li>High School Graduate</li><li>Completed at least 2 years of college with a curriculum focused in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Basic understanding of CAD Modeling and Drafting, Thermodynamics, and Mechanics</li><li>Working knowledge of Solidworks or NX CAD software.</li><li>A desire to personally grow within the test and measurement industry. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.</li><li>Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability.</li><li>Multi-tasking with a detail orientation and commitment to accountability in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><i>ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
