About this role

Group Control at Just Eat Takeaway.com, as SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) for the local teams, is responsible for contributing to the quality of the numbers, monitoring on internal controls, monitoring on compliance and contributing to projects / ad hoc questions. 

Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Amsterdam & 2 days working from home

Reporting to: Senior Manager - Group Financial Control

Registration with educational institution is mandatory only for the beginning of the internship.

For non-EU students: An UNL agreement (research universities) or Nuffic agreement (other educational institutions) are required to be provided and signed by the university and student.

In this exciting internship, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work in a diverse and young team of experienced finance professionals
• Implement finance-related improvements and processes at the group level
• Engage in communications with local market finance teams and take ownership of the monitoring communications.
• Be a key player in the year-end process during the preparation of the financial statements
• Assist with monthly financial close activities
• Assist with facilitating external audit deliverables
• Learn how to use financial applications tools/ ERP systems (Workday. OneStream etc.)
• Provide ad-hoc reports or data requests for internal purposes

What will you bring to the team?

• Currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Finance and/or Accounting
• An analytical and structured way of thinking, enabling you to solve problems and complete tasks in your daily work
• Eager to learn, take initiative and support your team members
• Good people skills. You are empathetic and connect easily with others
• Good experience with Excel and/or Google sheets
• Living in the Netherlands during the term of your internship [6 months]
• Fluent English (written & spoken) and excellent communication skills
