Job Responsibility

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on global-scale systems and cutting-edge AI implementations within Acer Global IT team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Automation Framework Development: Develop and maintain a UI automation testing framework using SpecFlow + Playwright .NET. This framework will be used to validate frontend functionalities for Acer’s Global Website (supporting 50+ locales) and the Campaign Engagement system's EDM functions.
  • AI Agent Implementation: Build and optimize the Model Context Protocol (MCP) AI Agent for Acer’s official website. This project aims to allow users to retrieve product specifications and purchasing information through natural language interactions.
  • Expected Results:
    • Complete 5 to 10 comprehensive automated test cases.
    • Successfully integrate mainstream LLM applications with the Acer MCP AI Agent to enable seamless product information retrieval.

Requirements

Required:

  1. Education: Junior, Senior, or Graduate students currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Management, or related technical fields.
  2. Experience: Proven experience in software development through personal projects, GitHub portfolios, or academic coursework.
  3. Skills:
    • Programming: Proficiency in Python syntax and development.
    • AI Tooling: Familiarity with modern AI IDEs such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
    • Technical Adaptability: While the core projects involve Python, a willingness to learn and work within the .NET / C# environment is required for the testing framework.

Preferred:

  • AI Enthusiast: Strong interest in AI-related software development, specifically LLM integration and Agent architecture (e.g., MCP).
  • Growth Mindset: Highly motivated to learn new technologies and frameworks independently.
  • Web Fundamentals: Basic understanding of Web development (HTML/CSS) and how Frontend/Backend systems interact via APIs.
