About the job:
JMP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented In-House Counsel Intern to assist our legal team with a wide range of legal tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The JMP Legal team is responsible for advising on a variety of legal matters, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The legal team advises several cross-functional business areas including but not limited to the following: Sales, Marketing, Digital Operations, Business Operations, User Enablement, Product Management, and Human Resources. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in legal research and analysis, contract management, policy, and compliance.
Our summer intern will have the opportunity to work on several key projects, including:
Required qualifications
- Current law student (preferably 2nd or 3rd year) at an accredited university or college; not graduating prior to Dec 2026
- Strong interest in contracts, technology, privacy, and software
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Timeline:
