We work onsite 4+ days a week, with our team based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and Juneau, Wisconsin. Our team of 700+ passionate pet people thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the occasional office cameo from a four-legged friend.


What You’ll Do:

The  Sourcing and Logistics Intern will support our Strategic Sourcing and Logistics teams. This role will provide hands-on experience in supplier management, procurement analytics, logistics coordination, and operational efficiency improvements. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze supply chain data, assist in supplier negotiations, and contribute to process improvements that drive cost savings and efficiency.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in supplier sourcing, selection, and relationship management efforts
  • Supports logistics operations, including warehouse and route cost analysis
  • Helps manage procurement data and conduct spend analysis
  • Participates in supplier negotiations, RFQ/RFP processes, and contract reviews
  • Researches and analyzes market trends to support cost-reduction initiatives
  • Assists in the development and implementation of procurement and logistics strategies
  • Works with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sourcing and logistics processes
  • Documents and presents findings to key stakeholders in the organization
  • Supports sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the supply chain
  • Will perform additional responsibilities when required

Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Passion for supply chain, procurement, and logistics
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
  • A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
  • Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs) 

Not Required but Nice to Have!

  • Experience with DOMO, Power BI, or other data visualization tools
  • Previous internship or work experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics
