We’ll support your development through workshops, simulations, accreditations and on-the-job learning, helping you grow with confidence. You’ll also work on a green and sustainability strategy project work with other Placement colleagues, and join an individual learning pathway to continuously develop your skills.

Our Technology Industrial Placements provide a potential opportunity to join our Technology Development Programme (TDP) once you’ve finished your studies. Following successful completion of your placement, and with the right drive and attitude, there is the opportunity to build a rewarding career with us.

Data & Functions Technology Delivery (Swindon)

Data is critical to the experience of our 16 million members. It underpins our technology investment and is key to delivering better, more personalised experiences.

Our Data Specialists bring together key information to generate deeper insights into our business and customers. We build secure, resilient platforms to host enterprise-level data, create pipelines to move and transform raw data, and ensure it’s trusted, fit for purpose, and governed effectively. We use this data to uncover insights, tell compelling stories, and inform decision-making. Our teams also apply predictive analytics to anticipate future behaviours and explore how generative AI and machine learning can enhance customer experience.

We work with technologies such as Databricks, MS SQL, MS Azure, and SAS, and our roles require strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Colleagues on our Industrial Placement have taken on a range of tasks, from coding technical changes in SAS to enhance data processing, to building interactive dashboards that help business users explore and present their data in meaningful ways.
