ZURU Beauty is in a phase of explosive growth, fueled by disruptive new brands and innovations. The Innovation team is looking for a high energy, highly enthusiastic talent with a knack for organization and communication skills, to help us create order in chaos and ensure our innovations are properly briefed, evaluated and distributed to key stakeholders.  


Position impact:

Your fresh eye on beauty is a powerful asset. We want to know what excites you, what doesn’t land, and the trends you’re spotting before they break! At ZURU, we champion bold thinking and open conversations, so your voice won’t just be heard, it will directly influence brand development and innovation. With your strong organisational skills and ability to collaborate across teams, you’ll help streamline processes, sharpen feedback loops, and move faster from idea to impact. You’ll work hands-on with global teams across R&D, Commercial, Design, and Marketing to turn big ideas into beautifully executed products fast.


You will also:

- Learn how beauty innovations are developed from start to finish across multiple categories (haircare, fragrance, bodycare, hygiene and gifts) and multiple brands (DAISE, MONDAY, BEING amongst others). 

- Master how to evaluate products and provide clear, effective feedback to cross-functional teams including engineers, chemists, sales and commercial. 

- Evolve in a truly international environment, with exposure to global markets and a strong focus on the world’s largest beauty market – the US.

This is a 3 month full-time internship opportunity however we are open to part-time opportunities.

What You'll Do
  • Organisation and tracking of innovation samples for testing and validation, including feedback sheets, timelines, and follow-ups 
  • Ensure markets have all the innovation samples for their innovation meeting with retailers  
  • Ensure global showrooms are consistently stocked with up-to-date innovation samples 
  • Select, purchase and recommend competitive benchmarks to support product briefs and innovation development 
  • Continuously monitor beauty trends, launches and social conversation, flagging relevant insights and opportunities to the innovation team 
  • Monitor new product launches across all categories at Ulta, Sephora, and Target in the US. 


What You'll Bring
  • Final year or recent graduate
  • Beauty obsessed – actively follow beauty trends, launches, brands and influencers across global markets 
  • Strong organisational skills 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Understanding of product formulation is a plus  
  • Strong interest in different cultures (both our key markets and key stakeholder are outside of New Zealand)  
  • A proactive mindset, with the confidence to take ownership, ask questions and suggest improvements
